We heard from someone this week they had just signed up for commercial premises with an annual total cost of $25,000 p.a. including both rent and variable outgoings. 

The ink was hardly dry and then they received an offer from the YES vote to rent it for 3 weeks for $10,000.

WOW!  The maximum annual cost was $500 p.w. (including variable outgoings) so for a cost for 3 weeks = 3 x $500 = $1,500, so an offer of $10,000 for the 3-week period is amazing and way way way above market! 

Trying very hard not to be concerned about our taxpayer dollars on this one...
