Primarius Blog - Living in the red zone

For the last few days, many Perth residents have been living in the red bushfire zone and some still are. In the middle of a hard Covid lockdown, it has made it a tough week for many people especially those in the path of the fire or with medical emergencies.  Our thoughts go to those people who lost their homes, 81 in total but grateful to see no lives lost.

When these things happen, it is a timely reminder to take a health-check of one own's position, including:

  1. Insurance: It is essential to cover assets of value you cannot afford to replace as per this recent update.
  2. Evidence: We were advised by an insurer a few years ago it is best practice to take full photos of your home and garden.  In the event of a claim, especially if everything is destroyed by fire, flood, or other natural disasters it may be difficult to prove exactly what you have.

For those that have lost their homes (and more) - please reach out to us if you need assistance, even if we cannot help with a specific issue for e.g., general, or legal issue, we will certainly assist with finding help for you or pointing you in the right direction.
